Dear Parents / Carers,

We hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and welcome you all back.

Firstly we would like to thank all parents /carers for their food donations to the Eastleigh food bank. Here is Sally handing it all to them just before the end of term.

We will be making an appointment to introduce ourselves to the new Head, Mary Strong, at Chandlers Ford Infant School and the new Head at Scantabout Primary School, Tina Thomas.

Tax-Free Childcare scheme

The long awaited Tax-Free Childcare scheme, which was first announced in 2013, is finally due to be launched ‘early’ in 2017, although no specific start date has yet been given. Tax-Free Childcare will eventually replace the existing employer-supported childcare voucher scheme. The childcare voucher scheme will close to new entrants from April 2018 and the expectation is that most parents will choose to transfer to the new scheme.

HMRC have started contacting Ofsted-registered childcare providers, inviting them to sign up for the Tax-Free Childcare scheme, which we have already done. The scheme will be rolled out to parents of the youngest children first, with parents of the oldest eligible children (i.e. those aged 12, or 17 for children with disabilities) able to join by the end of the year

Collections – Could we ask parents/carers to collect stamps for a Grandma who sends them to a charity and milk bottle tops for the Beavers. Thank you!
